Youth & School Based Keynotes

Today's students have more language for their emotions than ever before. Emotional literacy is essential. The next step is helping them know what to do with those emotions.

Brooke Marie Bridges is the founder of Unearthing Wellness and creator of The Integrated Root™, a framework that helps students move beyond emotional awareness into embodied wellbeing. Through storytelling, lived experience, and practical nervous system education, she equips students with tools to navigate stress, anxiety, and life's challenges with greater resilience, self-compassion, and connection.

Most students today know more about mental health than ever before.

Many still don't know what to do when anxiety, overwhelm, or difficult emotions arise.

Through The Integrated Root™, Brooke helps students move beyond emotional awareness into embodied wellbeing by connecting mind, body, and environment.

Looking for something beyond a one-time presentation?

Many schools discover that one conversation isn't enough to create lasting change. Unearthing Wellness also partners with schools to deepen this work through customized experiences for students, educators, and school communities.

  • Behind the Smile

In this keynote, Brooke discusses the mounting pressures of growing up as a child actress, correlating the experience to the pressures to be "perfect" in modern society. Between social media, increasing cultural pressures, and family dynamics, students are experiencing unprecedented amounts of anxiety and burnout at younger and younger ages. In this keynote students leave feeling seen, heard, and understood. They also leave with practice tools they can use today to improve their overall mood.

  • The Difference Between Looking Okay and Actually Being Okay

Designed for middle and high school students and the educators who support them. This talk addresses the gap between emotional literacy and genuine regulation — why students can name their anxiety, describe their stress, and still feel completely stuck — and what actually helps. Grounded in neuroscience and somatic practice, with real tools students can use immediately.

  • Both/And

The Practice of Holding Multiple Truths Without Abandoning Yourself — designed for student assemblies, DEI programming, or faculty professional development. This talk explores identity, belonging, and the neuroscience of why binary thinking makes it impossible to bring your full self anywhere — and what it actually takes to hold complexity without abandoning yourself. Given Kirby's commitment to diversity and inclusion and their recent Argentina immersion experience, I think this one could land particularly powerfully with your community.
