Unearthing Wellness is a space dedicated to exploring mental health, healing, and the human mind through multiple forms of storytelling.
Through books, film, speaking, and interactive workshops this work is centered on one core idea: that understanding ourselves more deeply is a powerful part of healing.
Whether through a story, a conversation, or a quiet moment of reflection, the goal is to create work that resonates, challenges, and connects.

Our Approach to Healing

Mind
We delve into the cognitive aspects of identity, exploring how the narratives we've been told and the ones we tell ourselves shape our daily experiences. Our focus is on empowering individuals to rewrite those stories in order to cultivate a more positive dialogue with oneself, fostering transformation and growth in life.
We utilize core components of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to create sustainable mental change.

Body
We focus on the somatic components of emotion; where in your body do you feel certain emotions? What is the quality of the sensation? When we can identify how certain emotions and experiences feel in the body, we’re better able to recognize them, integrate them, and move past them. We utilize a combination of mindfulness and meditation-based practices to increase overall bodily awareness, decrease feelings of dissociation and derealization, and promote integration and wholeness. We also focus on nourishing the body through intuitive cooking and deep listening to the body.

Earth
Nature connection and being in reciprocity with the Earth is an essential part of healing. Both in terms of herbalism and herbal medicine, but also in forming loving relationships with Mother Earth to help bring about more mindfulness, compassion, and respect for the Earth and all her beings. Our relationship with land is not extractive, rather symbiotic, encouraging deep Earth listening and guidance. We also encourage tending to the land through the act of stewardship and/or farming. Integrating garden bed builds and holistic garden education.
