Roots to Renewal: Unearthing the Authentic Self through Mind, Body, & Earth
In this retreat we will be softly guided into alignment with our truest, deepest selves through exploratory mindfulness, self-awareness practices, herbal medicine, fresh farm to table food, habit creation and release, movement, and techniques that connect our cognitive sphere (thoughts) to our bodies (somatic). In the end, we will leave with practical tools, sensory reminders, and gratitude practices to carry us through the next phase of our lives, whatever that may be.
This retreat is an opportunity to ground, understand the stories that have shaped you, and identify opportunities for growth and change in order to create the most authentic, effective version of you as it relates to your personal wellbeing, and the overall wellbeing of the collective.
The goal here is to put our own oxygen mask on first, but not in isolation.
What to Expect:
Delicious, Handmade, Local Food
We will enjoy snacks throughout the day and a delicious handcrafted lunch made with local ingredients.
Farm to Table / Food is Medicine Cooking
Learn to make a simple meal together with local ingredients and medicinal herbs for healing.
Handcrafted Herbal Remedies - Hydrosol / Floral Water
Learn the process of handcrafting an herbal hydrosol, also known as a floral water, through steam distillation. Learn how to use an Alembic Copper still, as well as a home still option to create scented, luxurious floral waters as an alternative to essential oil use.
Body Based Inner Listening
We will have opportunities to deepen our self-awareness through somatic (body) based listening. Through meditation, mantra work, and somatic gestures we will more deeply understand presence and emotions as they live in our individual bodies.
Meditation & Movement
We will meditate, move our bodies, stretch, and integrate deep relaxation into our self-care for the day.
Personal Values, Beliefs & Narratives
We will focus on our personal values, how they inform our decision making and behaviors, and identify ways in which our values have morphed into blocks.
